Main purpose of position Currently we are looking for a
Project Developer - in Delhi , India to be part of our global team working together towards our vision
Improving our future. As our Project Developer you will be responsible for leading the development and structuring of renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hybrid and storage) in India from early opportunity through the development cycle to financial close. Your ability to structure and negotiate complex transactions, to lead external and internal development processes, and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams is key to successfully lead the project to construction start.
Main Responsibilities
- Day to day coordination with various developers, land aggregators and partners.
- Due diligence and shortlisting of potential sites for Solar, Wind, Hybrid, BESS projects in terms of land, resource, connectivity, project registration/allocation and power evacuation.
- Coordination with local aggregator for land identification & land acquisition.
- Coordination with different government agencies related to filing state connectivity applications, GO, project registration, applicable permits and approvals such as KREDL, NREDCAP, TANGEDCO, RUVNL, RRECL, MPUVNL, MSETCL etc.
- Evaluating land and State/Central regulatory policies related to Renewable Energy.
- Finalize terms & conditions, commercials, contracts and agreements for initial developments.
- Identification of potential, vendors, developers, contractors for development and construction of projects.
- Lead all activities related to acquisition of projects/companies from developers containing GO, connectivity, land etc.
Qualifications And Competencies
- Master, Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Legal or other relevant fields
- 10 - 15 years relevant experience from project development and contract negotiation in the energy industry
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken and an additional language beneficial
- Able to priorities responsibilities and self-manage
- Working knowledge and understanding of Power Purchase Agreements, grid connections, permitting requirements, bidding processes etc.
