Project Cost and Data Specialist, PMO Pulp, Energy & Circularity Business Area

We are looking for a Project Cost and Data Specialist, PMO to join the PEC Business Area's Project Management Office. This position plays a key role in establishing a modern, datadriven cost control and analysis framework to support worldclass project execution.
The position is based in
any major PEC BA location in India, and reports to the Director, Project Management Office.
In this role, you will drive structured cost management practices, visibility, and continuous improvement across PEC delivery projectsworking closely with engineering, procurement, finance, risk management and project management teams.
In This Position, You Will Be Required To
Process Definition & Framework Development
- Develop and implement a standardized, digitalized cost control and analysis framework for all PEC delivery projects.
- Define and maintain practices ensuring consistent use of quantity data, cost baselines, and deviation analysis across disciplines.
- Support integration between engineering tools (COMOS/E3D), LN/ERP, procurement, risk management and reporting processes.
Structured FollowUp, Transparency & Compliance
- Consolidate key quantity and cost elements into a coherent, traceable project cost overview.
- Achieve full transparency and realtime reporting of quantity and cost data.
- Establish KPI baselines for cost variance and data quality; perform regular followup and improvement actions.
- Carry out cost variance assessments, identify cost drivers, and provide early visibility on risks and deviations impacting project margin.
Collaboration, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with project managers, engineering, procurement and finance to strengthen cost awareness and ownership.
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations supporting pricing, execution efficiency and lessons learned.
- Promote digitalization and automated data flows as part of PMO's longterm development roadmap.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
- Degree in engineering, industrial management, economics or other relevant field.
- Experience in project cost control, cost engineering or financial analysis in industrial project environments.
- Understanding of EPC/EPCC project lifecycle and cost structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering quantities, unit rates and cost drivers across disciplines.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to form clear insights from complex data.
- Experience with ERP (LN or similar), engineering tools (COMOS/E3D), and reporting platforms (e.g. Power BI).
- Proactive mindset, structured way of working, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
