The Project Architect is responsible for overseeing the architectural design and implementation of a construction project, from conception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural principles and design, as well as experience in project management and team leadership. The Project Architect will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all specifications and is completed within the established timeframe and budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the architectural design for the project, including building plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, contractors, and other professionals, to ensure that the project meets all requirements and specifications.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, and monitor progress to ensure that the project is on track.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that the construction work is being carried out according to the design and specifications.
- Review and approve construction documents, including shop drawings, material submittals, and other related documents.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements and ensure that the design meets their expectations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, and ensure that they are trained and developed to achieve their potential.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in architectural design, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design software.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and to work effectively under pressure.
- Professional licensure is preferred
