We are currently seeking a Project Architect - Restaurant Chain to join our client's team in Chennai.
Job Title: Project Architect Restaurant Chain
Location: Chennai
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Qualification: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
Role Overview :
The Project Architect will be responsible for translating concept designs into detailed, buildable drawings and ensuring seamless execution across multiple restaurant rollout and fitout projects. The role demands a balance between design sensitivity, technical accuracy, sustainability focus, and on-site coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Delivery & Documentation:
- Develop detailed working drawings, tender documentation, and technical specifications for interior fitout and restaurant rollout projects.
- Ensure all drawings meet design intent, functionality, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, and services) for integrated project documentation.
Design Coordination:
- Work closely with the Concept Architect to translate design concepts into detailed execution drawings.
- Ensure brand identity, design standards, and spatial efficiency are maintained across all rollouts.
Sustainability & Green Standards:
- Integrate sustainable design principles and green building standards (IGBC/LEED/GRIHA) in all project phases.
- Recommend sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and waste reduction methods during design and fitout.
Project Rollout & Fitout Oversight:
- Manage and monitor multiple rollout fitout projects across locations.
- Review shop drawings and conduct periodic site inspections to ensure design adherence and quality execution.
Technology & BIM Integration:
- Utilize BIM tools for design coordination, clash detection, and data-driven project management.
- Maintain and update architectural models throughout project lifecycle.
Quality, Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure adherence to building codes, statutory regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain version control and proper documentation protocols for all project deliverables.
Skills & Competencies :
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D detailed drawings), Revit/BIM, and design coordination tools.
- Strong technical understanding of interior materials, detailing, and restaurant MEP integration.
- Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
- Passion for sustainable architecture and knowledge of green certification systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage parallel rollout projects across geographies.
Preferred Attributes :
- Prior experience in retail or restaurant fitout projects.
- Exposure to fast-track rollout environments.
- Certification or working knowledge in LEED/IGBC/GRIHA will be an added advantage.
