Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and leadership to drive the development of counter drone solutions.
- Stay updated with advancements in drone technologies and counter-drone systems to guide the team in adopting cutting-edge solutions.
- Program Management:
- Lead the technical planning and develop detailed project plans and roadmaps.
- Oversee the integration of sub-systems of Counter Drone solutions.
- Collaborate with customers, government agencies, and defense organizations to define project requirements and ensure alignment with their operational needs.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of components and services necessary for the systems development and deployment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and that technical requirements are understood and met.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers, systems architects, and quality assurance teams to ensure the technical integrity of the solution.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that technical roadblocks are resolved efficiently.
- Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during the development and deployment process.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and testing results.
- Prepare and present technical progress reports, performance metrics, and technical reviews to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- System Validation:
- Oversee and coordinate system testing, validation, and performance evaluation, ensuring that systems meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Manage field testing and simulation exercises to validate the performance and reliability of counter-drone systems under various conditions.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the development of counter-drone systems complies with industry regulations, including ITAR, cybersecurity standards, and defense acquisition guidelines.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Must:BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical (Top 50 in NIRF), PMP or similar project management certification.
- Desirable:Masters degree in Electronics or Aerospace, suitable qualification on Drones & Counter Drone systems.
- Relevant Experience:
- Must:
- Minimum of 12-15 years experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or product development in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and manage complex, technically challenging projects.
- Experience in developing and integrating complex defense systems, preferably counter-UAV or counter-drone solutions.
- Familiarity with systems integration, hardware development, and defense industry standards.
- Experience with defense acquisition procedures (DAP 2020).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
- Desirable:
- Minimum of 15 years experience in unmanned aerial systems/Counter drone systems.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams toward the development and integration of Radar and EW systems.
- Strong technical expertise in radar, RF systems, sensor fusion, AI/ML applications in defense, and autonomous systems.
- Knowledge of software development, firmware, and embedded systems is highly desirable.
- Background in AI/ML applications in defense or security.
- Familiarity with software-defined radios (SDR), signal intelligence (SIGINT), and other advanced defense technologies.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project) for managing technical projects.
