Who we are
The NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) is IIM Bangalore's startup hub and incubation centre. The centre is structured as a section-8 not-for-profit entity.
NSRCEL's mission is to support ventures in the start-up ecosystem that demonstrate potential to create significant economic and societal impact. This financial year alone NSRCEL has engaged with 1106 ventures through 13 unique program tracks across 82 towns in the country.
NSRCEL is supported by Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NSRCEL has partners with corporates like Alstom, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Pernod Ricard India Foundation and SBI Foundation, among others to support idea stage and early-revenue stage entrepreneurs and startups in focussed themes of climate-tech, women entrepreneurship, and social impact.
What you will be doing
Mentoring is a function at NSRCEL that ensures over 1000+ founders, annually, get the mentoring support they require through a highly exclusive pool of mentors who come with immense expertise in varied domains. As a Program Manager in the Mentoring team you will have the opportunity to manage relationships with part of our mentor pool and work with across different incubation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mentoring operations; work with a team of Virtual Assistants to schedule, track & monitor mentoring connects.
- Ensure process efficiency & continuous optimization to deliver the best possible Mentor & Founder experience
- Actively participate in events to scout mentors based on gap analysis & requirements of specific programs
- Build & nurture the mentor community through active engagement on online platforms as well as conducting curated meetups
- Manage the P&L for the mentoring function; ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Ongoing reporting & insights on various mentoring interventions.
- Lead strategic initiatives and experiments aimed at creating high impact and long-term value for founders and the mentoring community.
- Leverage and optimize tools and software used to manage the end-to-end mentoring process; provide feedback for continual improvement.
Requirements
- Have an undergraduate degree with 5-6 years experience or postgraduate degree with 4-5 years of experience
- Have held roles in the past managing high stakes stakeholders
- Great communication skills & high accountability to close the loop
- Comfortable with managing data & tools like excel
- Project & process management skill set including planning, regular updates, communication, handling end to end execution with a strong sense of discipline.
- Conflict management, negotiation skills are key.
