Eaton's Direct Current team is pioneering next-generation DC power systems and software by collaborating with Electrical Sector divisions and product teams. As our digital capabilities expand, the integration of common interfaces and base platforms along with advanced system models will optimize performance essential to our continued success.
The Direct Current team has an opening for a Software Delivery lead focused on DC power systems for data centers. This is a critical individual contributor role responsible for leading agile software delivery processes within the global product team.
As a Software Delivery lead, you will empower our engineering teams with the tools, processes, and systems needed to accelerate innovation in DC power management. You will drive accountability for deliverables, facilitate effective team collaboration, maintain detailed project schedules, and communicate progress to executive stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure agile best practices are followed and adapted to the unique challenges of DC infrastructure software. You'll work closely with developers, system architects, and product managers to deliver solutions that balance technical requirements, operational reliability, and business goals.

- Orchestrate development of release plans
- Ensure process is being followed to create, prioritize, and maintain a backlog of user stories
- Understand and triage tasks and issues and prioritize according to criticality
- Project Leadership: Lead and monitor data center software projects from initiation through delivery, focusing on electrical systems, controls, cooling, and edge/cloud solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with product owners, infrastructure teams, and external partners to define scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide software engineers, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Implement and refine Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices to maximize efficiency and reliability in software delivery for data center environments.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks related to data center operations, security, and compliance (e.g., uptime, redundancy, data protection).
- Resource Planning: Allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with team capacity and specialized skillsets.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure software meets high standards for reliability, scalability, and security, with robust testing and validation processes.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates and delivery metrics to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and partners for integration, support, and delivery of third-party solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for automation, process improvement, and innovation in data center software delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
Skills
10+ years of experience in software development and delivery management, with significant exposure to data center technologies.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software projects and distributed teams in data center or infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware), networking, and storage.
- Experience with Agile, DevOps, and ITIL methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, MS Project, etc.).
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices for data centers.
Technical Knowledge : Agile scrum master,PMP,Microsoft Project Plan, Advanced Excel,
Soft Skills
- Global Project Management, Project Proposals, Scoping, Stage GATE product development process, Risk Management.
- Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner), PMP, ITIL, or relevant data center technologies.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions.
- Ability to drive change and innovation in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Experience working in a global matrix organization and collaborating across boundaries.
