Job Summary:
The Program Manager will oversee large-scale IT programs, ensuring alignment with government policies and project objectives. The role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and execution of IT initiatives in collaboration with the Government of India (GoI) or State/UT Governments.
Key Qualifications:
- Education:
- MBA/PGDM from a recognized Indian university or
- M.Tech/ME/B.Tech/MCA/MSc (IT) from a reputed engineering institution
- Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, ITIL Managing Professional, or IPMA Level-C
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years in IT program/project management consulting
- At least 7 years of experience in government consulting, managing IT programs/projects with GoI or State/UT Governments
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Plan, execute, and monitor multiple IT projects under a unified program framework
- Government Collaboration: Work closely with central/state government bodies to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal teams, vendors, and government officials for seamless project execution
- Risk & Compliance: Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to governance standards
- Budget & Resource Control: Oversee financial planning, resource allocation, and cost optimization
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet technical and functional requirements
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare progress reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Team Leadership: Mentor project managers and cross-functional teams for high performance
- Process Improvement: Implement best practices in IT project management for efficiency
Desired Skills:
- Strong understanding of government IT projects (eHealth, Digital India, Smart Cities, etc.)
- Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities
