Position Title: Program Management

Qualifications
Education BE /B.Tech Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or comparable education, PMP certified candidate is a plus
Work Experience 8 to 10 years of experience in core New Product Development field of which minimum of 3 years of handling Aerospace projects experience in
project Management.
Essential Functions
Core Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Experience in executing Aerospace or defense projects and handling Aero
customers is a must.
- Shall have detailed understanding of documentation & traceability requirements for
Aero & defense projects.
- Manage new development projects from Market pull data to launch in market, ensuring
quality, cost, and time objectives are met.
- Own project deliverables and drive project success by managing scope, risks, and
stakeholder expectations.
- Apply project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure effective
project execution.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Organize, coordinate, and control the overall project process with involvement from
departments such as Marketing, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Production.
- Collaborate with other project managers to ensure the professional management of
parallel projects.
Technical Expertise
- Oversee the full lifecycle of new product design and development, including R&D,
specifications development, concept design, detailed design, testing & validation,
qualification, and industrialization.
- Ensure technical feasibility and adherence to project requirements throughout all phases.
Financial Management
- Understand and manage project financials, including ROI, IRR, and Payback analyses.
- Monitor budget adherence and support financial reporting for project status.
Project Reporting & Escalation
- Implement regular project reviews and status updates, escalating risks and issues as
necessary.
- Prepare and present weekly project reports to the global forum.
- Ensure proper documentation for project milestones, status tracking, and project
completion reports.
Performance & Compliance
- Manage and monitor KPIs for the projects, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Participate in customer and project audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external
requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Engage in continuous development of the project management system in collaboration
with the PMO.
- Proactively suggest improvements to project processes and practices.
General Skills
Project management in the New Product Development (R&D) area from project start to series
production.
Must have experience in products developed by R&D New Products (not production New Products).
