This role acts as the key point of interface between the Customer and IPD, with a primary responsibility for developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the customer's key contacts. You'll be the central figure in driving programs from initial concept to launch and beyond.
Core Responsibilities
Program Planning & Execution
- Define project scope by creating the Statement of Requirements (SOR) and Statement of Work (SOW) based on a thorough understanding of customer needs.
- Lead new programs and engineering change programs from the initial RFQ (Request for Quotation) through to the product launch and for three months post-launch.
- Plan and execute programs by aligning all internal IPD events and gates with the customer's milestones.
- Lead, manage, and coordinate Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) and Self-Directed Teams (SDT), defining team members and their tasks.
- Conduct weekly reviews with both the CFT and the customer to ensure alignment and progress.
Financial & Risk Management
- You are accountable for program profitability, ensuring financial targets are met.
- You will be responsible for budget tracking throughout the program lifecycle.
- Identify program risks and issues at an early stage and escalate them to management to ensure timely resolution.
Handover & Business Transfer
- Manage the business transfer from the Forward model to the Current model.
- Handle the project handover to the Production team, ensuring all knowledge, documents, and assets are transferred seamlessly.
