Job Description: Assistant Dean Psychology
Department: School of Psychology / Behavioral Sciences
Reports To: Dean Academics
Location: University Campus
Role Purpose
To support academic leadership, ensure quality program delivery, enhance research output, and drive student success within the Psychology department while aligning with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Curriculum
- Assist in curriculum design, review, and implementation
- Ensure alignment with UGC, NEP 2020, and global standards
- Introduce industry-relevant and interdisciplinary programs
2. Faculty Management
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of faculty
- Monitor teaching quality, student feedback, and performance
- Drive faculty development and research initiatives
3. Student Experience
- Oversee mentoring, academic advising, and progression
- Ensure smooth delivery of lectures, practicals, and internships
- Address student concerns and enhance engagement
4. Research & Development
- Promote publications, funded projects, and research culture
- Organize seminars, conferences, and workshops
5. Accreditation & Quality
- Ensure NAAC/IQAC compliance and documentation
- Support audits and continuous quality improvement
6. Industry & Administration
- Build partnerships for internships and collaborations
- Assist in scheduling, admissions, and departmental operations

Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Psychology (preferred specialization: Clinical / Counseling / Applied)
- 812 years of academic experience with leadership exposure
- Strong research and publication record
