Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professor to lead the Department of Pathology . The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and mentoring of students in the field of Pathology. The Professor will play a key role in contributing to the academic and research goals of the department and the college.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Pathology
  • Mentor and advise students in the department
  • Conduct and publish cutting-edge research in the field of Pathology
  • Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance the field
  • Participate in departmental, college and university activities and initiatives
  • Lead the department and facilitate academic and research collaboration within the department
  • Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and academic advising activities
  • Maintain currency in the field through ongoing professional development and engagement

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in Pathology or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the university level
  • Strong research record, with a track record of publications in high-quality journals
  • Experience leading a department and/or research group
  • Strong commitment to student-centered learning and mentorship
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and external partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
