POSITION OVERVIEW

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at IILM University, Greater Noida invites

applications from eminent scholars for the position of Full Professor in Psychology. This

is a prestigious senior faculty position that requires demonstrated excellence in teaching,

research, and academic leadership. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to

the university's research agenda, mentorship initiatives, and strategic academic development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching and Curriculum Development

Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology

across the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Psychology, Master of Science Applied

Psychology, and specialized certificate programs

Contribute to curriculum design and periodic review to ensure alignment with

industry standards, NEP compliance, and emerging research trends in Psychology

Mentor and guide students through advanced seminars, dissertations, and research

projects

Develop innovative pedagogical approaches integrating theory with real-world

applications and case studies

Conduct lectures, seminars, and practical sessions with excellence in communicative

and explanatory skills

Research and Scholarly Activities

Lead and establish robust, externally-funded research programs in specialized areas

of Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Organizational/Industrial, or Applied

Psychology)

Publish original research in peer-reviewed national and international journals;

maintain a strong publication track record demonstrating scholarly impact

Guide doctoral candidates (PhD scholars) in their research endeavors

Pursue research grants and external funding from national and international agencies

Establish collaborative research networks with premier academic and research

institutions

Contribute to inter-disciplinary research initiatives within IILM's ecosystem

Academic Leadership and Mentorship

Serve as mentor and guide to Assistant and Associate Professors in research

development

Contribute to academic program development and continuous quality improvement

Participate in faculty recruitment, selection, and evaluation processes

Organize and chair academic seminars, workshops, and research colloquia

Provide intellectual leadership in the discipline and contribute to strategic planning of

the department

Administrative and Community Engagement

Participate actively in institutional committees, academic governance, and university

strategic initiatives

Engage in community outreach and extension activities aligned with the university's

mission of Learning with Purpose

Collaborate with industry practitioners to facilitate consultancy and real-world

problem-solving projects

Contribute to academic and professional associations; represent the university in

scholarly forums

Actively participate in faculty development programs and professional growth

initiatives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

(ESSENTIAL)

Educational Qualification

Ph.D. (Doctorate) in Psychology or allied discipline from a recognized national or

international university

Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Psychology

Bachelor's degree with consistent good academic record (minimum 50%

throughout academic career)

Professional Experience

Minimum 10 years of active teaching and/or research experience in Psychology in

recognized universities, colleges, or reputed research institutions

Evidence of continuous engagement in academic/research activities throughout

career

Minimum 5 years of substantive experience at the level of Associate Professor or

equivalent, or minimum 10 years of equivalent independent research and teaching

Research and Scholarly Credentials

Minimum 15-20 high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed national and

international journals (indexed in UGC, SCOPUS, or equivalent databases)

Evidence of successful research supervision: minimum 3-5 doctoral candidates

guided to completion or currently supervising

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, design, and execute independent research

projects

Track record of securing extramural research funding from national agencies (UGC,

DST, ICSSR, etc.) or international bodies

Books or book chapters published by recognized academic publishers

Evidence of research impact and citations in the academic community

Teaching Excellence

Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching with evidence of positive student

feedback

Curriculum innovation and development of new courses or specialized programs

Recognition for excellence in instruction through awards, testimonials, or institutional commendations

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Administrative and Institutional Leadership

  • Experience in academic administration, program coordination, or institutional development
