Job Purpose
To support the production and quality teams in day-to-day plant operations in the manufacturing of
CRGO electrical steel, while learning about the processes of cutting, slitting, annealing, coating, testing, and handling of grain-oriented steel used in transformers.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Process Assistance- Undergo training on CRGO manufacturing processes including:
- Coil handling and storage
- Slitting and cutting of CRGO sheets
- Stress-relief annealing
- Coating applications (insulation)
- Testing and quality checks
- Assist shift in-charges in supervising floor operations and manpower.
Production Monitoring
- Monitor machines and equipment to ensure smooth operations under the guidance of senior supervisors.
- Record daily production data, material usage, and downtime.
Quality Awareness
- Learn basic quality parameters of CRGO materials such as core loss, surface finish, thickness, and insulation resistance.
- Assist in basic quality inspections and lab testing tasks.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow plant safety guidelines and ensure safe work practices on the shop floor.
- Report any unsafe activity or malfunction to seniors immediately.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production reports, checklists, and quality logs.
