The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Production/Product Development Specialist to join their team in Savli, Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse groups and cultures. The ability to multitask & delivers within timelines is essential. The candidate will have excellent communications skills.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and execute Transfer of Products for High Voltage Switchgears.
  • Co-ordinate with R&D, Operations and implement the new production line for serial production.
  • Provide input for new products introduction during Project Implementation phase
  • Production line layout setup. New Jigs & Fixture development. Process standardization for Productivity Improvement.
  • Working on various Industrialization projects to reduce the Cycle & Takt Time. Managing Various Internal & External Audits
  • Preparing and modifying factory layout for multiple product configuration.
  • Impart all necessary training (Product, processes, systems, best practices) to operations.
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis for quality complaints. New supplier development for Jigs & Fixtures
  • On time completion of Projects. On time closure of customer complaints.
  • Collaborate with local team for project completion. Support SCM for localization activity and necessary approvals.
  • Lead and drive improvement culture. Prepare layout for new product lines as per Lean methodology. Support Operations, Testing and Quality for Life cycle queries.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with first class (above 60%)
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of professional work experience
  • Knowledge of basic SAP Project Management Value Stream Mapping
  • Sound interpersonal skills Well versed with MS Office Basic knowledge of engineering drawing.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
