Production & Sourcing Lead
Location: Gurgaon (Full-time, On-site)
DRAWN is looking for a Production & Sourcing Lead to manage end-to-end garment production across sampling, development, and bulk manufacturing. The role requires strong technical understanding of production processes, vendor management, and commercial negotiations, with clear ownership of cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Scope of Role
You will be responsible for the complete production lifecycle — from onboarding manufacturing partners to executing bulk orders — ensuring all styles are delivered in line with agreed costings, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard manufacturing partners and export houses
- Lead commercial negotiations including FOB costing, MOQs, payment terms, and contracts
- Build and maintain a reliable vendor base aligned with category and scale requirements
- Track and evaluate vendor performance across cost, quality, and delivery timelines
Product Development & Sampling
- Oversee sampling, proto development, fit approvals, and pre-production processes
- Ensure accurate execution of tech packs, specifications, and construction details
- Drive closure of fit iterations and approvals within defined timelines
- Ensure samples are production-ready and commercially viable
Production Planning & Execution
- Own production planning and critical path management across all styles
- Track and manage WIP (work-in-progress) across multiple factories
- Ensure timely movement from sampling to bulk production
- Identify and resolve delays or bottlenecks in production cycles
Costing & Margin Control
- Own style-level costing and margin alignment
- Negotiate costs across fabrics, trims, and manufacturing
- Ensure adherence to target cost structures and budgeted margins
- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to defined quality standards and specifications
- Oversee inline and final quality checks
- Work with vendors on corrective actions for quality issues
- Maintain consistency in fit, finishing, and construction quality
Delivery & Commercial Accountability
- Ensure all orders are executed within agreed delivery timelines
- Maintain visibility on order status, delays, and risk areas
- Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial terms
- Coordinate internally to ensure readiness for dispatch and delivery
Requirements
- 5–7years of experience in garment production, sourcing, or supply chain within fashion/export houses
- Strong understanding of sampling and bulk production processes
- Proven experience in cost negotiations, vendor onboarding, and contract management
- Experience managing multiple factories and production timelines simultaneously
- Strong commercial acumen with focus on cost, margins, and delivery performance
- Prior experience working with export houses or garment manufacturers is essential
