Job Description

Global Spares Operations - Spares Escalation

Expediting delivery commitments to meet customer requirements

On Time to Commitment

Serves as a central coordination point for global spare parts demand, supporting customer service and planning by coordinating across supply chain, manufacturing and warehouse operations to ensure on time delivery to customer commitment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point of contact for customer service and global planning expedite requests, ensuring confirmed delivery commitments within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with regional customer representatives to gather requirements promptly and provide timely updates.
  • Coordinate, follow up, and escalate with regional warehouses to ensure ontime shipments and meet fulfilment cycle time performance targets.
  • Work closely with purchase and production teams to achieve commit response time targets
  • Schedule Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) and monitor production and supplier purchase orders until delivery to the spares warehouse.
  • Partner daily with purchase and production planners to identify and resolve material shortages, overdue deliveries, and potential schedule interruptions.
  • Maintain the QuickBase expedite database with accurate and uptodate information.
  • Reschedule Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) and reATP sales orders in SAP based on material availability and supplier commitments.
  • Escalate issues promptly to ensure adherence to target commit dates.
  • Investigate spare part supply risks, including obsolescence, specification issues, or part build challenges.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and other internal teams to resolve identified risks and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Proactively collaborate with crossfunctional teams to minimize or prevent expedite events.
  • Adhere to timelines defined in KPIs and support achievement of global performance metrics such as On Time to Commitment (OTC) and On Time to Customer Request Date (OTR).
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and discipline in all operational processes and documentation

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
