Production Planner

Role: Production Planner (Vehicle or Battery)

Location: Ather Factory, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra

Reporting to: Lead, Production Planning.

Team Name: Central Planning.

About the Team and the Role:

The Central Planning team is the strategic core of our commercial operations, responsible for forecasting and orchestrating the market delivery of our entire product ecosystem. As the Production Planner, you will spearhead this critical function, managing a dedicated team to develop and execute planning strategies.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.

· Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

· Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

· Schedule shifts according to production or sales demand

· Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and Fulfil the Biz requirements.

· Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)

· Prepare and submit status and performance reports.

· Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, material & logistics.

· Work with the materials department in material planning and analysis to reduce inventory levels.

· Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement to ensure continuous operations.

· Monitor inventory status and generate inventory reports (FG & WIP)

· Coordinate with the central planning department & dispatch department to ensure smooth customer deliveries.

· Identify delivery exceptions and provide alternative solutions.

· Generate various reports from time to time for analysis.

· Suggest process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems.

Experience

· B.E/ M. E in Industrial engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering or Mechanical engineering

· MBA preferred in Operation Management or equivalent Certification from a Tier 1 institute would be preferable.

· 3-7 years of hands-on experience on Production and Inventory management from Tier 1 / OEM

Must have competencies

· Proven experience as a production planner

· Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles

· Experience in SAP: Order management, SAP PP, SAP MM

· Hands on experience on Scheduling tool, APS, MES

· Working knowledge of MS Office / Google office and ERP systems

Good to have competencies

· Good at math and statistics

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication abilities
