Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead end-to-end women wear garment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in vendor manufacturing and exposure to buyers such as Max Lifestyle, Zara, Pantaloons, Reliance, Westside, or similar large-format retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Production Reports.
- Act as approval authority for all direct production costs from cutting to packing, ensuring continuous efficiency improvement.
- Coordinate with internal departmentscutting, sewing, finishing, and maintenanceto keep factory costs under control.
- Plan and execute production orders as per delivery timelines.
- Handle complete factory operations (Cut to Pack) across 500 machines.
- Drive operational excellence through leadership, teamwork, and structured processes.
- Improve productivity through effective planning and Industrial Engineering (IE) methods.
- Maximize capacity utilization and reduce waste across operations.
- Ensure smooth production flow, final inspection clearance, and on-time shipments.
- Closely monitor sewing and finishing operations to achieve optimum output and quality.
- Monitor cutting consumption to ensure maximum fabric efficiency.
- Lead production teams from the front with strong shop-floor control.
- Coordinate closely with the merchandising team to resolve production-related challenges.
- Partner with HR in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding production staff.
- Ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and safety standards.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing, preferably in women's wear.
- Strong experience as a Production Manager in retail vendor manufacturing.
- Prior exposure to buyers such as Max, Zara, Pantaloons, Reliance, or similar brands is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, IE, and Maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale operations and teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
