We are looking for a results-driven Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless production flow, achieving OTIF targets, optimizing cost and productivity, and building high-performing shopfloor teams in a fast-paced jewelry manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Delivery & Planning
- Drive daily production in line with targets, timelines, and OTIF commitments
- Ensure smooth coordination across Planning, Maintenance, and Quality teams
- Proactively manage bottlenecks to maintain uninterrupted production flow
2. Operational Excellence & Cost Efficiency
- Improve productivity, capacity utilization, and cost per gram
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, waste reduction)
- Monitor key metrics such as OTIF, uptime, and efficiency
3. Team Leadership & Workforce Optimization
- Lead and develop supervisors, line leaders, and operators
- Drive manpower optimization and multi-skilling across teams
- Build a performance-driven and disciplined shopfloor culture
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and statutory compliance
- Drive First-Time-Right (FTR) and reduce rework/rejections
- Partner with Quality team to maintain product consistency
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Planning, HR, Maintenance, and Logistics teams
- Align production capabilities with business requirements and delivery commitments
6. Data-Driven Performance Management
- Track and analyze production data, efficiency, and downtime
- Present actionable insights and reports to management
- Leverage ERP systems for real-time monitoring and decision-making
7. Health, Safety & Workplace Standards
- Drive 5S and maintain high safety standards across the facility
- Promote a zero-incident, safety-first culture
Qualifications & Experience
- B tech or B E in any engineering Stream
- 610 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in jewelry or precision industries
- Proven experience in managing shopfloor operations and delivering production targets
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering, Production, Mechanical, or Jewelry Manufacturing
- Lean / Six Sigma certification (preferred)
