Role Overview
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations of the automated bread manufacturing facility at Dayspring, ensuring optimal production efficiency, consistent product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to operational standards. The role requires strong technical expertise in automated bakery plants and the ability to lead large production teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations of the automated bread plant, ensuring quality, output efficiency, and timely dispatch.
- Plan and manage production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Monitor and control raw material usage, wastage, and finished goods inventory.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control and operational standards.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations including FSSAI and HACCP norms.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate production supervisors and plant staff.
- Optimize production processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Monitor automated production lines including PLC-controlled systems and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive maintenance coordination to minimize downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in plant performance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- BE / BTech in Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in food production.
- Mandatory experience in automated bakery plants, preferably bread manufacturing units.
- Strong understanding of automated production lines, PLC systems, and production planning software.
