About The Role
The Production Manager is responsible for end-to-end Electrode (Cathode/Anode) manufacturing operations for lithium-ion cell production. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production at scale, owning daily production performance, yield, throughput, and continuous improvement in a mobility-grade cell manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day electrode production operations including slurry mixing, coating, drying, calendering, slitting, and material handling
Deliver production targets related to throughput, yield, OEE, and quality for mobility-grade lithium-ion cells
Implement and sustain standardized work, SOPs, and best manufacturing practices across electrode production lines
Ensure strict compliance with EHS, safety standards, and statutory requirements within electrode operations
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations, defects, and yield losses
Collaborate with Technology and Quality teams for process execution, SPC, audits, and technology transfer
Lead, coach, and develop production teams including shift managers, engineers, and operators
Support new line installation, commissioning, ramp-up, and cost reduction initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
12+ years of experience in discrete manufacturing with 5+ years in mixing, coating, and roll operations. Desired 3+ years in Lithium Ion cell Mfg.
Hands-on experience in electrode manufacturing for lithium-ion cells
Exposure to lithium-ion cell manufacturing
Skills
Electrode manufacturing and lithium-ion cell processes (LFP and related chemistries)
Yield improvement, OEE optimization, and high-volume manufacturing
SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
People management, shift operations, and automation-driven production lines
