Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Manager specializing in Surface Treatment, located in Chennai. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing production processes, managing resources, and ensuring efficiency within the manufacturing and surface treatment departments. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning production schedules, supervising team performance, monitoring quality standards, and coordinating with other departments to meet production goals. The role also entails implementing and improving processes related to surface treatment and addressing any operational challenges to achieve optimal productivity and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of production management principles, surface treatment processes, and casting operations
- Experience in resource allocation, production scheduling, and process optimization
- Familiarity with ISO and IATF-certified production systems
- Ability to lead and supervise teams effectively, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in quality control processes and adherence to industry standards
- Hands-on experience with machining and metal finishing processes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant technical field; additional certifications in production or surface treatment processes are a plus
- Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing industries is highly advantageous
