Production Lead/Head (Battery Cell Manufacturing)

Role Description

• Oversee daily production activities across key processes including Electrode, Assembly, Formation, Testing, Welding, and Packing.
• Drive performance against critical KPIs such as output, yield, OEE, scrap rate, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and process control requirements on the shop floor.
• Track and analyze production data (MES, KPIs) to identify gaps, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Lead and develop production teams (engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators) to sustain high operational standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure operational stability.
• Support production ramp-up, new product introduction (NPI), and capacity expansion projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools.
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS and safety regulations across all operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in battery manufacturing operations.
• Strong exposure to complex, multi-process production systems.
• Proven track record in production ramp-up, scaling operations, and driving operational excellence.
• In-depth understanding of end-to-end cell manufacturing processes
• Strong capability in production performance management (OEE, yield, productivity)
• Data-driven mindset with solid problem-solving skills
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
