Job PurposeWe are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Production Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing operations at PKL LIMITED. The role involves improving production efficiency, supervising shop-floor activities, coordinating with machine operators and trainees, and ensuring quality, safety, and delivery timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage daily production activities to achieve planned output targets
- Supervise shop-floor operations including lathe/machine operations
- Support training and guidance of ITI trainees (Fitter / Machinist / Welder backgrounds)
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
- Identify production issues, root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain production records, reports, and shift-wise data
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and stores teams for smooth operations
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and safety norms
- Assist in process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives
- Support compliance with factory rules and basic statutory requirements
Qualifications & Skills- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
- 12 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Basic knowledge of machine shop operations (lathe, CNC preferred)
- Understanding of production planning and control (PPC) concepts
- Ability to handle shop-floor workforce and trainees
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic reporting
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required
