Job Description – Production Engineer

1.     Monitor production efficiency by tracking operation cycle time and identifying bottlenecks.

2.     Plan manpower allocation and perform line balancing to meet production schedules.

3.     Record and analyze daily production data including output, rework, rejection, scrap.

4.     Ensure implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions to address and eliminate root causes of rework and rejection.

5.     Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and actively participate in customer and internal audits.

6.     Plan and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet delivery commitments.

7.     Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure smooth production flow.

8.     Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement by using lean manufacturing tools.

9.     Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

10. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

11. Implement continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and waste elimination.

12. Maintain 5S standards and safety protocols across the entire shop floor.

13. Support new product development, trial runs, and process validation activities.

14. Train and guide operators on process standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.

15. Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety regulations.
