Instructional designer (Writer specializing in Teen Career Exploration)

We are seeking a talented and versatile writer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content to help teenagers explore their career options. The ideal candidate is a creative individual who can conduct thorough research, present exciting examples from various industries, meet deadlines, and maintain a fun tone of writing.

• Work will be offered project by project, on contract.
• Flexibility to work remotely, with the opportunity for 1-2 office days per week for feedback and collaboration. 
• We offer flexible work hours, allowing you to manage your schedule as long as project timelines are met. 
• Working days for this position are Monday to Friday.

• Conduct extensive research about remarkable events in the world of business, different industries, business concepts and tools, and how different types of businesses function.
• Create well-researched and captivating content that educates and inspires teens.
• Develop comprehensive educational programs, including lesson plans, interactive activities, and informative materials.
• Incorporate real-world examples and success stories from diverse industries to make career exploration relatable and engaging for teens.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and program managers to ensure accuracy and alignment with educational objectives.
• Write in a fun, engaging tone that resonates with the teenage audience while maintaining educational integrity.
• Edit and revise their work to fit business needs, and according to feedback from supervisors and user testing.
• Meet project deadlines and manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously.
• Stay up to date with current trends and preferences among teenagers to ensure relevance and appeal in the content created.
• Write summaries and blurbs about what they have created, to update internal teams about new product content.
• Train facilitators to run the content they have developed.
  

• Proven experience as a writer, preferably in educational or youth-oriented content.
• Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from diverse sources.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities, with a knack for presenting complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
• Creativity in developing interactive and innovative educational programs.
• A curious disposition and a love of learning new things.
• A willingness to revise their work and make changes, as required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the interests, preferences, and communication styles of teenagers.
• Passion for helping teenagers explore their career choices and providing valuable educational resources.
