POSITION CONTEXT & PURPOSE
In the context of the transformation of Lacoste's globalorganization and operating model, the company aims to ensure strong alignmentand consistency across the three Operations Platforms (Asia, Europe, andAmericas) in product technical communication, execution standards, and supplierindustrialization processes.
The Product Technical Execution Manager is a strategictechnical leadership role created to:
- Translate Lacoste's technical know-how and excellencestandards into flawless manufacturing execution
- Ensure Right First Time development accuracy
- Secure robust pre-industrialization and productionreadiness
- Empower suppliers technically to elevate capability andautonomy
- Protect the premium positioning and craftsmanshipstandards of Lacoste products
The PTE acts as the technical authority within the Indiaplatform while ensuring strong functional alignment with global technicalgovernance.
ROLE SCOPE & IMPACT
The PTEM is accountable for technical execution fromdevelopment handover through industrialization, ensuring:
- Full compliance with Lacoste technical standards
- Seamless coordination between Development, Sourcing,Quality, and Supply Chain
- Supplier capability enhancement
- Reduction of development iterations and production risks
- Cross-platform alignment and technical transparency
- The role combines technical expertise, supplierleadership, governance, and cross-functional influence.
Detailed Main Accountabilities
Product Development & Right First Time Ownership
The PTEM ensures complete and accurate technical foundationsbefore supplier engagement.
- Work closely with Product Technical teams to validate thatTech Packs and specifications are complete, accurate, and executable
- Ensure all required technical details (construction,workmanship standards, tolerances, grading, testing requirements, trims,labeling, risk points) are clearly defined
- Identify technical gaps or inconsistencies prior tosupplier handover
- Validate feasibility in alignment with supplier capability
- Conduct structured hand-off to suppliers for sampleinitiation
- Lead and own Proto Review meetings for full technicalevaluation
- Risk Assessment of styles in terms of ProductionFeasibility complying to Lacoste standards & Product Specification.
- Provide clear technical feedback and decision-makingsupport
- Drive reduction of proto loops and improve first approvalrate
Impact: Improved development efficiency, reduced samplingcost, faster time to market.
Pre-Industrialization Governance
- Ensure structured transition from OK DEV to OK MANUF
- Validate production feasibility before JSS approval
- Lead SMS Reviews, JSS Approval and PP Meetings ensuringtechnical clarity
- Ensure conformity/non-conformity status is clearlydocumented and communicated cross-platform
- Align with central planning and Supply Chain P-launchtimelines
- Identify and mitigate industrial risks prior to bulkproduction
- Ensure production line readiness from technicalperspective
Impact: Smooth production starts with minimized disruptionsand quality deviations.
Supplier Technical Empowerment & Capability Building
The PTEM drives supplier maturity and ownership of Lacostestandards.
- Act as primary technical interlocutor with suppliers
- Conduct structured technical training sessions forsupplier teams
- Nominate and train Sample QA representatives dedicated toLacoste standards (phase-wise and supplier-wise)
- Define competency expectations for supplier technicalteams
- Support establishment of Lacoste-dedicated sample roomline settings
- Identify skilled operators, pattern makers, andtechnicians for Lacoste styles
- Evaluate supplier sample rooms and technical setup
- Support technical certification and evaluation of factorycapabilities
- Implement improvement plans where gaps are identified
- Reduce recurring technical deviations through proactivecapability development
Impact: Long-term supplier capability growth and reduceddependency on reactive corrections.
Cross-Platform Technical Alignment
- Ensure technical consistency across Asia, Europe, andAmericas platforms
- Collaborate closely with Global Product Technical Directoron policy implementation
- Contribute to standardization of copy styles andcarry-over processes
- Share best practices and improvement initiatives
- Participate in Global PTE Seminar (mandatory)
- Participate in Quality Proto Reviews in Paris (mandatory)
- Provide seasonal KPI feedback and technical insights

Required Experience & Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing,Garment Technology, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years in textile production, development, andmanufacturing
- Experience with international premium brands or textilegroups
- Strong background in Woven and Knitwear garments
- Experience in supplier-facing technical leadership roles
