The Impact You'll Drive

At Vegapay, we're building the infrastructure powering next-gen credit programs for banks and fintechs. As a Product Solutions Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and clients - owning production reliability while solving complex, real-world fintech problems at scale.

This is not a traditional support role. You will be the first line of defense for mission-critical systems, the go-to person for debugging deep issues, and a key partner in ensuring our platform runs flawlessly for our banking partners.

The Hats You Will Wear

  • Own end-to-end production reliability across credit, UPI, ledgering, and reconciliation systems
  • Debug complex production issues across services, APIs, and data layers with strong problem-solving depth
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify root causes and drive permanent fixes
  • Drive incident management rigor including triaging, prioritization, and resolution within SLAs
  • Lead post-incident RCA discussions with clear, actionable insights
  • Proactively monitor systems using logs, metrics, and alerts to prevent failures
  • Work directly with B2B clients (banks/partners) to communicate issues and build trust
  • Create and maintain playbooks/runbooks for faster issue resolution
  • Support product launches and releases, ensuring production readiness and smooth rollouts

The Perfect Fit

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in B2B SaaS / Fintech / Payments companies
  • B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL (joins, aggregations, debugging data mismatches)
  • Solid understanding of APIs and request/response flows; experience with tools like Postman
  • Experience with logs and observability tools (Kibana / ELK stack)
  • Proven ability to debug issues in distributed systems
  • Familiarity with incident management and ticketing tools (JIRA or similar)
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana / Prometheus)
  • Understanding of system design basics (microservices, queues, retries, failure handling)
  • Working knowledge of databases

Your Edge Over the Rest

  • Experience in payments / banking / fintech systems
  • Exposure to UPI, card networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), ledger systems, or reconciliation flows
  • You don't just fix issues you prevent them
  • You combine deep debugging with sharp stakeholder communication
