Position Overview
As a Product Owner at Xcelore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects, across different industry domains. You will act as the client or business stakeholders and the development teams, ensuring that the solutions align with client goals and market demands. Your responsibilities will encompass business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and product ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Establishes strategic product direction, and oversees the translation of product strategy into actionable creative or technical designs.
- Create, communicate, review and approve designs using tools such as Figma and Sketch etc. Communicate designs with the business stakeholders for validation and with the development teams to ensure full understanding of your expectations. Verify that outcomes are produced as designed and intended.
- Translate client requirements into comprehensive user stories, product backlogs, and technical specifications. Write detailed long-form vision documents, problem statements etc.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is focused on delivering the highest value features.
- Act as the liaison between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating communication and gathering feedback.
- Conduct thorough business analysis, market research, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop a deep understanding of the industry's trends, challenges, and customer behaviours to drive product strategy.
- Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client and business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to ensure the successful delivery of products.
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the product, making data-driven decisions for optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience of 3 to 6 years as a Product Owner or similar role, with a strong background in Business Analysis.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
- Previous experience in the Travel industry domain is highly preferable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work as part of a team. Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to drive strategic direction.
- Persuasive communication skills including presentations and long-form documentation.
- Technical expertise of tools such as Figma and Sketch and of enterprise software architectures and design.
