Job description of Product Owner

Position: Product Owner

Location: Gurgaon

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking for a Product Specialist. In this role you are responsible for owning (technical owner) for MDO General Applications base in India.

We follow DevOps culture in the everyday work we do and utilize DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery in building our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Quality

• Maintain a product backlog and prioritizing detailed product requirements according to internal and external input and communicate product requirements to R&D
• Responsible for product quality
• Aligning product with architectural guidelines
• Work closely with the scrum team throughout the development process and be a team player
• Accountable for roadmap items progress and articulate user stories with acceptance criteria from design to go to market
• Contribute to the product design with consideration of user experience
• Support the product readiness and launches

Reporting and Communication

• Reporting progress, raise up scope and schedule deviations to PLC Head and other stakeholders
• Estimating effort of development items with R&D teams
• Demo product features, create documentation and give training to stakeholders to ensure serviceability
• Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects
• Good writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and communication skills

Experience & Skills

• Master's level in IT Management, Information Systems or MBA with a technical Bachelor's degree.
• Around 5- 8 years experience in product development or product management or relevant
• Product Owner with several years of experience in requirement analysis, specification, multi-site development coordination and productization of large scale globally offered software solutions
• Prior knowledge of ERP solutions, complex system architectures, system integrations, APIs and data synchronization, UX design, Agile development, as well as SaaS business a plus
• Strong analytical skills with end-to-end mindset and capability to think outside box
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge with ERP systems Procurement, Supply Chain, Asset Management will be a plus
• Atlassian Products- Jira & Confluence is highly desired
• Enjoy taking responsibility and working as a team across organizational boundaries

Good to have

Certification as a Product Owner (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) or in Agile/Scrum.

Experience in a startup environment, where you've worn multiple hats and adapted quickly to changing priorities.

Knowledge of integration and customization in platforms like Salesforce (e.g., Apex, Lightning) or Zoho Creator.

Experience with user experience (UX) research and A/B testing to drive product improvement
