We are looking for an energetic and talented Product Owner to join our R&D team in Bangalore.

With over 1,800 research operatives worldwide, the Corporate Technology department occupies a special position within Siemens R&D facilities. It functions as an international network of expertise and as a global partner for technology and innovations.
Before our AI architects and developers write even a single line of code, they have to deeply understand what drives our customers.
What are the complex challenges that AI can uniquely solve What data tells the untold user story Implementation means – iterative model training, rigorous testing, and continuous improvement of algorithms and user interactions until a truly intelligent and impactful solution emerges.
You'll make a difference by:
- Working closely with Product Management, AI/ML Engineers, and Data Scientists to create and maintain an AI product backlog according to business and AI model value:
- Prioritizing not just features, but also data acquisition, model training, infrastructure improvements, and MLOps capabilities based on their impact and feasibility.
- Ensuring the backlog reflects both user-facing features and critical backend AI system components.
- Conceptualizing AI feature requests into the product road-map, considering technical feasibility and data requirements:
- Translating high-level AI concepts into actionable features, assessing the maturity of underlying AI technologies and the availability of necessary data.
- Grooming and prioritizing the AI product feature backlog, including data pipelines, model improvements, and responsible AI initiatives:
- Regularly refining and prioritizing items, ensuring a balance between delivering new AI capabilities and maintaining/improving existing models.
- Integrating tasks related to bias detection, fairness, and interpretability into the prioritization process.
- Framing AI-specific user stories and define acceptance criteria, including model performance metrics and ethical considerations:
- Defining criteria for handling edge cases, model drift, and graceful degradation.
- Validating all AI features against acceptance criteria, focusing on model performance, user experience, and ethical guidelines:
- Beyond traditional QA, validate the AI's behavior in real-world scenarios, conducting A/B tests, user studies, and adversarial testing.
- Ensuring the AI delivers value without introducing unintended biases or negative user experiences.
- Creating comprehensive documentation for internal teams (AI/ML, engineering, support, legal) and, where appropriate, for end-users.
- Planning sprint goals and releases, assessing value and prioritizing stories, epics, and AI/ML tasks to ensure alignment with AI product strategy:
- Integrating AI development cycles (e.g., data collection, model training, experimentation) into sprint planning.
- Collaborating with MLOps and SRE teams to ensure robust deployment, monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
Job requirements/ skills:
- 7+ years experience in industry with upto 5 years experience in product management
- MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
- Creative thinking with a vision
- Good communication and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
