Role OverviewWe are seeking a Product Owner who will serve as the critical bridge between execution for our CreditTech platform. You will drive the development and management of our core lending products, translating business objectives into detailed product/feature requirements and ensuring our engineering teams are empowered to build robust, scalable, and innovative solutions. This role will collaborate deeply with engineering, architecture, data science, and operations teams to collaborate system architecture, manage technical dependencies, and deliver high-quality products for our MSME lending portfolio. The Product Owner will be instrumental in shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring its alignment with our strategic business goals.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Product Owner to own the development lifecycle for our Pay-As-You-Sell product for Working Capital of MSMEs in Malaysia & Indonesia and launching to other countries soon, ensuring we deliver maximum business value and exceptional customer experience while maintaining regulatory compliance and robust risk management.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Product Owner, you will be the voice of the customer and the business, working directly with the Scrum team to deliver the highest-value product features.
Product Strategy & Vision- Define, articulate, and champion the product vision and strategy for your domain, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives for the lending platform.
- Conduct market and user research, competitive analysis, and data analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and iterative improvement.
Agile Execution & Delivery- Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog based on business value, effort, and strategic alignment, including features, user stories, defects, and technical debt.
- Translate high-level product strategy and Epics into detailed User Stories with clear acceptance criteria that the development team can execute.
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies related to the backlog, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Reviews.
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for the development team, answering questions and providing clarification on requirements promptly to unblock progress.
Fintech-Specific Focus (Lending, Risk, and Compliance)- Ensure product compliance with all relevant financial regulations (e.g., KYC/AML, Consumer Protection, Fair Lending) in partnership with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Develop features that integrate risk management and credit decisioning processes (e.g., credit scoring, fraud detection) directly into the user experience.
- Monitor key lending metrics such as application funnel conversion, default rates, and cost of acquisition, using data to inform product iterations.
Stakeholder Management- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, UX/UI Design, Data Science, Marketing, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
- Communicate product roadmaps, priorities, and release status clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Product Owner, preferably within a Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the Lending space (e.g., personal loans, mortgages, business loans), with an understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle (origination, servicing, collections).
- Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience using tools like Jira or Confluence to manage the product backlog.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define success metrics (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand system architecture, APIs, and the technical trade-offs involved in building complex lending solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate complex requirements and influence stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with modern software development practices and technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
