As the Vice President of Product Management within our Finance team, you will be responsible for defining, refining, and achieving the set goals for our firm. You will execute product development strategies, focusing on complexity, risk, compliance, and customer experience. By analyzing customer needs, competitive intelligence, and financials, you will align area roadmaps with the overall product vision. You will coordinate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and build the tech development backlog. Collaboration with cross-functional product leads and key partners such as Design, Data Owners, and Engineering is essential to deliver value. You will partner on software product development to create scalable features and contribute to the team by writing user stories. Managing the product workflow through JIRA, you will prioritize and sequence the backlog, considering various factors like audit controls and data migration. A solid understanding of the technology promoting the product is crucial, including ownership of tech assets and managing tech debt. You will also engage in stakeholder management, roadmap planning, and priority setting, maintaining strong connections with product partners to meet development objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes on product development strategy and outcomes for one product, complexity/dependency, risk/compliance and internal/external customer experience impact
  • Executes on area roadmaps aligned to overall Product vision using careful analysis of customer needs, competitive intelligence, data/analytics, firm's capabilities and financials
  • Coordinate with Business stakeholders to analyze business requirement and build the backlog for Tech for development.
  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional product and area product leads. Engages and leverages key product group partners (Design, Data Owner, Tech Architect, Engineering, Data/Analytics etc.) early enough and often in the area product development strategy and provides access to customers to deliver value
  • Partners on software product development and tech build to create quality and scalable features/solutions including contributing to team through the writing of user stories
  • Executes area product workflow through JIRA. Prioritizes and sequences backlog considering audit/controls, data landscape, data center migration, resiliency, etc., coordination of release dates and is responsible for area backlog and health as part of overall product.
  • Understand the underlying technology that drives product. This includes ownership for tech assets needed for product development (full view expectation to help drive end-to-end ownership and the assumption of the tech debt that builds up over time based on decision making)
  • Manage stakeholder, roadmap planning, priority setting
  • Builds and maintains strong connections to product partners on meeting dept./functional product development objectives, including executives, business teams, and internal customers

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

.10+ years of broad product management, business management and operational roles
.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance MIS, or related field
.Strong track record of delivering challenging initiatives using expert-level program/product/function management skillset
.Experience in managing complex Proudct leveraging complex data and models
.Proven leadership and influencing skills and ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization
.Ability to set and manage accountabilities and expectations at all levels - team members, peers, business partners and senior management
.Demonstrated senior leadership in terms of attitude, initiative, and inclusivity
.Agile backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
.Good understanding of P&L and finance in general.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Understanding of Credit Card Business will be added advantage.
