Owned and operated by BalanceHero Group, True Balance is an RBI authorized Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI) issuing entity. It offers loans through its subsidiary and RBI licensed Non-Banking Financial Company - True Credits Private Limited and other RBI licensed partners. Founded in 2016, as a mobile app for users in India to efficiently manage their phone calls and data usage, True Balance is now India's one of the top financial services platforms providing solutions to all the financial needs of its users - from obtaining instant loans, paying utility bills to do prepaid recharges seamlessly. Roles and responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and drive the product vision for the lending marketplace
• Identify opportunities to improve lender-borrower matching, trust, and conversion
• Align product strategy with business goals (growth, revenue, risk, compliance)

Platform Development

• Build and scale a two-sided platform (lenders & borrowers)
• Design features like matching algorithms, propensity scores to improve the overall business
• Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience for both sides of the marketplace

User & Market Research

• Conduct user interviews with lenders and borrowers
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and regulatory landscape in fintech/lending
• Translate insights into product features and improvements

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, design, data science, risk, and compliance teams
• Collaborate with business teams for partnerships with lenders (NBFCs, banks, fintechs)
• Coordinate with legal/compliance for regulatory adherence

Execution & Delivery

• Define product requirements (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize roadmap based on impact and feasibility
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles

Data & Performance Tracking

• Define and track KPIs such as:
• User acquisition & activation
• Loan conversion rates
• Default rates / risk metrics
• Lender participation and liquidity
• Use data to iterate and optimize product performance

Trust, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure platform adheres to regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, data privacy)
• Build features that enhance trust (ratings, verification, fraud detection)

Required Experience:

3-5 years of Product Management experience in building and integrating multiple lending partners, ideally within a product-first company. Individuals who have worked in building networks or platforms will be a huge positive.

About Candidate:

Ideal candidates should have experience working in Fintech (lending domain >3-4 years in Product Management). Have shown considerable experience in growing 0 to 1 product and help monetise them successfully. We are looking to attract a user with a strong owner mindset.
