We're hiring a Product Manager at The Data Duck.
This isn't a generalist seat. You'd be the single owner of the product lifecycle for one client account, and the work itself is genuinely good.
THE CLIENT
- A digital services aggregator for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), live across South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. They connect content providers to telecom operators, build and run VAS (value-added services), develop mobile games, lifestyle apps and sports content, and handle billing integration with MNOs.
- Their products reach subscribers across Web, IVR, SMS, and USSD. That's real distribution into emerging markets that smartphone-only products miss. The group is expanding aggressively and doubling down on telecom, eCommerce, and gaming. The PM seat is being created to own that expansion end-to-end.
- Our team has run this account for 10+ years. We're not looking for a one-year hire.
ABOUT THE DATA DUCK

WHAT YOU'D OWN
- PRDs for every product in the portfolio: VAS, content, games, billing integrations
- Feature definition end to end: user stories, acceptance criteria, success metrics
- The product roadmap, aligned with business strategy, GTM timelines, and R&D capacity
- UAT, sign-off, launch readiness, and post-launch performance tracking
- Cross-functional coordination across the client's Commercial, Design, R&D, and Product Ops teams
- Localisation and market-specific customisation across every country the group operates in
Two reporting lines: an internal lead at TDD, and the client's EVP of Engineering & Operations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4 to 6 years of PM experience where the work has been building for external clients: consultancy, agency, or service-industry model. Not in-house product PMs from product companies. We've reviewed plenty; this brief needs the other shape.
- A doer. Owns PRDs, prototypes in Figma or AI tools themselves, runs UAT, and pushes back when a feature request doesn't make sense. Not a program manager dressed as a PM.
- Comfortable with frugal, scrappy environments where the client wants what they want when they want it, not a process-driven enterprise rhythm.
- Curiosity about telecom, mobile content, and emerging markets. You don't need prior MNO experience, but you should be interested in how billions of people access services through SMS and USSD, not just app stores.
- Long-term intent. We're looking for someone who'd stay with this account, not bounce in a year.
- Bonus: multi-geography product experience, API-driven architecture comfort, Agile/Scrum familiarity.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
A spot to bounce between products and accounts. You'll be deep in one client's world (telecom, eCom, gaming) for the foreseeable future. Strategy isn't handed to you; you're expected to have a point of view on what should be built, not just how.
THE PRACTICAL STUFF
- Full-time, TDD payroll
- CTC: around ₹24 LPA
- Hybrid, ideally based in Mumbai, Pune, or Bangalore
- Reports to Ritu David, Founder & CEO (internally), plus the client's EVP, Engineering & Operations
