Job Summary

The Technical Product Manager plays a critical role at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience. This role manages multiple priorities, translates technical insights into strategic actions, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products. The role owns one major product area or multiple smaller areas, driving execution from strategy through delivery.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and customers through networking and teamwork.
  • Leverage cross-functional relationships to achieve better outcomes for both the consumer and the business.
  • Proactively identify complex business or client issues, analyze trends, and recommend data-driven actions.
  • Foster collaboration across functions to help teams work effectively together.

Initiatives Management

  • Take full product management responsibility for one large product area (>10 engineers) or two smaller teams (68 engineers).
  • Set clear goals, standards, and protocols while managing resources effectively.
  • Facilitate goal-setting and implementation in a fast-paced, growing company.
  • Prioritize effectively, meet deadlines consistently, and propose process improvements.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for problem-solving and product enhancements.

Impact & Influence

  • Be recognized as a subject matter expert by peers.
  • Actively identify opportunities for improvement across teams and processes.
  • Influence and persuade others to adopt new ideas and approaches to achieve shared objectives.

Communication

  • Communicate key initiative messages clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Adjust communication style for different audiences, including senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Exhibit diplomacy and tact when handling business partners and sensitive discussions.

Subject Expertise

  • Understand how your work contributes to the broader product and business objectives.
  • Exercise critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative products.
  • Work independently while managing conflict and stress effectively.
  • Break down complex tasks into actionable components and delegate effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong data literacy and technical fluency in your domain.

Technical Skills

  • Understand backend/frontend architectures, APIs, and databases, and explain system interactions clearly.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to define technical requirements and document data contracts.
  • Use analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Amplitude, GA, Mixpanel) to make informed decisions.
  • Balance cost-benefit considerations when scoping MVPs versus full-feature implementations.

Accountability

  • Own and deliver on the product roadmap with precision and consistency.
  • Manage priorities effectively and make informed trade-offs to meet deadlines.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality and success of product deliverables.

Critical Evaluation

  • Identify and address issues requiring resolution.
  • Use data to inform decisions, form perspectives, and communicate rationale to stakeholders.
  • Manage complex stakeholder networks and ensure alignment with senior leadership.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role or function
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, Mathematics, Finance, or

Healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing agile product teams and collaborating with engineers and designers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
