- Accountable for growing Eurofins Food Assurance business and meeting assigned sales targets for Personal Care product certification services.
- Lead successful delivery of GMP+, IRCA, and related certifications/trainings across India.
- Oversee overall service delivery including audits and trainings conducted as per audit criteria.
- Stay updated on skill development, code qualifications, regulatory, and industry requirements related to audits and certifications.
- Maintain competence and qualifications in standards such as BRCGS Food, Packaging, FSSC, ISO 22000, GMP+, and accredited trainings.
- Continuously upgrade knowledge of the local social, economic, and business environment.
- Ensure turnaround time (TAT) for audit reports complies with Eurofins procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Mentor and support technical executives, auditors, and back-office staff.
- Monitor and support operational activities to ensure smooth service delivery.
Key Duties
- Achieve targeted revenue for Personal Care product certifications across India.
- Prepare and present sales quotations and proposals to current and prospective clients.
- Review contracts for new clients and maintain accurate customer and sales data in CRM.
- Provide monthly sales reports to the Director, Food Assurance – India.
- Develop and implement territory sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, monitor, and support sales activities and performance of Business Development Managers and Executives.
- Identify and develop training needs for the sales team.
- Support marketing activities within the region.
- Regularly update management on competitor activities and market trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and industry associations.
- Implement and adhere to company objectives and policies.
- Proactively identify at-risk customers and develop retention strategies.
- Assist with payment collections and audit scheduling for the region.
- Review and recommend improvements to customer service, enquiries, and sales management procedures.
- Conduct regular client visits across cities.
- Assist with resourcing subcontractor auditors and trainers.
- Promote Eurofins programs via targeted marketing activities in key market segments.
- Provide input on development and implementation of new programs or second-party audits.
- Understand and uphold impartiality in certification activities, taking independent action as required.
- Demonstrate management expertise, leading decision-making and reviewing technical manager decisions related to certification and verification.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders including the Impartiality Committee and Directors.
- Ensure timely updates of qualifications, competency, training completion, calibration meetings, training audits, and witness audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Food Science.
- Lead auditor certifications such as BRCGS, FSMS, FSSC, QMS or equivalent.
- ATP/Lead Tutor certifications in BRC and FSSC preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in operations, technical roles, or audits, preferably within a Certification Body.
- Minimum 4 years experience in the food industry, preferably in production or quality departments.
- Strong product knowledge and market exposure.
