Role Purpose
The Product Head - RBGwill be responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of Product Strategy, Design, Governance and Deliveryfor Relationship Banking Group, covering Working Capital (WC), Dealer Finance (DF), Supply Chain Finance (SCF), Liabilities (CASA/TD), and Cross‑sell Products.
The role will partner closely with Business, Credit, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Technology to:
- Drive profitable growth
- Improve RM productivity
- Lead process simplification & digitisation
- Ensure strong regulatory, policy and audit compliance
- Enhance customer experience across lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own and execute the RBG Product strategy and roadmapin line with Bank's Commercial Banking objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and rationalisation of WC, DF, SCF, Liability and fee‑based product offerings.
- Own product frameworks including eligibility, pricing, features, covenants and lifecycle governance.
- Act as custodian of product profitability and sustainability.
2. Working Capital, Credit & Structured Products
- Lead product design and delivery for CC/OD, WCDL, Term Loan, Dealer Finance, Warehouse / Structured Finance products.
- Partner with Credit & Ops to improve:
- TAT
- First‑Time‑Right (FTR)
- Disbursement efficiency
- Support policy formulation, UAT validation and rollout of new WC structures.
3. Liability, Cross‑Sell & Account Profitability
- Own CASA & TD propositionsfor RBG customers.
- Drive cross‑sell of Insurance, Wealth, Investment and other fee products.
- Develop account‑level profitability constructsincluding wallet share, income waterfall, leakage control and RM productivity metrics.
4. Process Excellence & Digitisation
- Lead Process Excellence initiativesacross customer onboarding, credit processing, documentation, servicing and exits.
- Champion digitisation initiatives including:
- Automated workflows
- Digital documentation
- CRM integration
- Straight‑through processing (STP)
- Partner with Technology teams to deliver scalable and compliant digital solutions.
5. MIS, Analytics & Dashboards
- Own RBG MIS covering:
- NTB, ENR, Disbursements
- DPD, GNPA, Recovery, Exits
- Income, Fee, RM productivity
- Drive Power BI / dashboard‑based reportingfor senior management.
- Use analytics to support business decisions, risk mitigation and growth opportunities.
6. Policy, Regulatory & Audit Governance
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal policies, audit observations and governance standards.
- Lead policy reviews, revisions and new policy formulationfor RBG products.
- Act as key SPOC for Internal Audit, RBI inspections, compliance reviews and regulatory submissions.
7. Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Act as a strong interface between Business, Credit, Ops, Risk, Compliance and IT.
- Build and lead a high‑performing Product team across WC, DF, MIS and Process Excellence verticals.
- Coach and mentor team members and develop future product leaders.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking / MSME / RBG products.
- Deep knowledge of credit appraisal, operations and regulatory environment.
- Proven experience in process transformation and digitisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving mindset.
Educational Qualifications
- MBA / CA / CFA / Post‑Graduate in Management or Finance from a reputed institution.
Experience Profile
- 15-20 yearsof total banking experience.
- At least 5-7 yearsin Product / Strategy / Business Transformationroles within Commercial / SME / Corporate Banking.
- Prior experience in a leading Private Sector Bank / Large NBFCpreferred.
