Job Summary
We are hiring a VAVE / Product Design Engineer with strong experience in product design and development processes. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in DFMEA, DVP&R, prototype builds/testing, manufacturing processes, and engineering validation activities. The role involves working on VAVE, QnR, and NPD initiatives along with concept development and component design activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product design and development activities for VAVE, QnR, and NPD projects.
- Perform DFMEA, DVP&R, and test plan development activities.
- Handle prototype/engineering builds and testing.
- Develop concepts for metal and non-metal components and assemblies.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams for design feasibility and process improvements.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and GD&T application.
- Support component selection, system integration, and engineering problem-solving activities.
- Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design validation and implementation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Product Design and Mechanical Design.
- Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, and VAVE activities.
- Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of metal & non-metal component design and manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to prototype builds and product testing.
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and electrical components is preferred.
- Experience with Creo, PLM, and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of strength of materials, structural design, and design calculations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
