About the Role:

At Rupeek, We are looking for a highly motivated Product Engineer to own and optimize our digital customer onboarding journey. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and user experience.

You will be responsible for improving the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle from application initiation to loan approval and management with a strong focus on reducing friction, improving conversion rates, and enhancing customer experience.

This is a hands-on role. You are expected to ship code, analyze data, experiment with flows, and work closely with engineering and product stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

Duration: 1+ years of relevant experience

Location: Kochi

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the complete digital customer onboarding funnel.
• Analyze drop-offs and optimize loan application conversion rates.
• Improve KYC, document upload, and verification workflows.
• Design, build, and iterate on onboarding features with hands-on coding.
• Run A/B experiments and measure impact using product analytics.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, operations, and compliance teams.
• Drive UI/UX improvements to reduce friction and improve clarity.
• Translate business and compliance requirements into scalable product solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 0–1 year of relevant experience (candidates with a B.Tech or M.Tech/Masters degree are preferred; prior product internship or early-stage startup experience preferred).
• Strong hands-on coding experience (mandatory).
• Ability and inclination to meet clients and engage with them to understand tech requirements
• Ability to build and ship end-to-end features.
• Understanding of frontend and backend fundamentals.
• Familiarity with product experimentation and analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making mindset.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
• High ownership and bias for action.

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

• Experience working on fintech or lending products.
• Knowledge of KYC flows, compliance processes, and document verification.
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with product analytics tools.

Work Model:

• Based in Kochi.
• Required to report to the Bangalore office once every two weeks.
