evaluated on construction integrity, costing discipline and consistency of execution.

The Role:

We are seeking a Product Developer with 5+ years of experience in leather goods who can

independently manage development from proto stage through production handover.

This role sits at the centre of the product lifecycle.

You will engage directly with international design and sourcing teams, analyse detailed spec

sheets, challenge construction decisions and align execution with both creative direction and

commercial targets.

You will see how global collections are built, how design intent is refined, how cost is

engineered and how product standards are maintained across markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

Translating design intent into technically sound construction

Reviewing and refining reinforcement, finishing and hardware integration

Engineering cost structures to meet defined FOB targets

Managing multiple seasonal development timelines

Communicating directly with international teams on revisions and approvals

Working closely with pattern masters, craftsmen and vendors to ensure precision in

execution

This role requires technical judgement, commercial awareness and clarity in communication.

The Profile:

5+ years of experience in leather goods development

Strong understanding of construction, reinforcement and finishing techniques

Confidence working with detailed spec sheets and pattern corrections

Clear understanding of costing structures and production feasibility

Fluent in English and Hindi

You are comfortable operating under scrutiny.

Location:

Full-time role based in Kolkata. Relocation required if not currently based here.
