Job Description

One of our portfolio's are an early-stage AI Infrastructure company backed by Sequoia, Antler, and Blume, and currently building a serverless inference offering for ML teams & building our early core team is hiring.

You are a fit for this role if you are open to owning the product design work end-to-end with closely working with the engineering and GTM team to understand the nuances around user experience and can build the right balance between abstracting away complexity, building trust, and empowering technical users with the control and flexibility they need. They are building a technical product for technical users, but a lot of the value they provide is in taking on infrastructure complexity for them.

This is going to be a founding product designer role who would lead all things design. We would like to keep the team lean till PMF so the role would come up with the expectation of you enjoying rolling-up your sleeves and navigating ambiguity and owning the product design function.

THE ROLE

  • Drive the end-to-end product design process including building prototypes, hosting internal design reviews, iterating based on feedback, writing detailed design specs, and reviewing PRs.
  • Work across our full product charter: machine learning model deployment, reporting, monitoring, load balancer, etc.
  • Build a culture for high-quality user experience.
  • Strike the right balance.
  • Seek out product feedback and conduct usability testing on your designs with customers

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have experience working on developer-focused products or are excited to embrace the challenges (and opportunities!) of simplifying a technical product.
  • You're skilled in designing intuitive web apps that unlock powerful functionality for technical users.
  • You've worked closely with engineering to ship products, learn how customers use them, and iterate toward improvement.
  • You're comfortable prototyping and testing your designs directly with customers.
