About the Role: Product Designer
As a Product Designer, you will lead the design evolution of our decentralized ecosystem. This is a unique role where you will design for two distinct worlds: the high-growth consumer market of decentralized social media and the rigorous, high-security requirements of government and defense products.
You will be responsible for making complex concepts—like cryptographic keys, peer-to-peer messaging, and decentralized identifiers (DIDs)—accessible and intuitive for everyone from everyday users to specialized officials.
What You'll Do
Strategic Design & Vision
- Define the end-to-end design strategy for our Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) wallets and Decentralized Communication tools.
- Translate complex decentralized protocols into seamless user journeys that feel invisible to the end-user.
- Collaborate directly with Engineering, leads, marketing, and Government stakeholders to align product design with rigorous security and compliance standards.
Design Execution & Ownership
- Own the entire design lifecycle for our mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms, from initial discovery to high-fidelity handoffs in Figma.
- Design specialized interfaces for defense-grade communication tools where clarity and reliability are mission-critical.
- Conduct user research and usability testing, navigating the unique challenge of gathering insights in privacy-first, decentralized environments.
- Maintain and evolve our internal Design System to ensure consistency across consumer-facing and enterprise/government products.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Present design rationale to leadership and external stakeholders (including government partners), advocating for the user while respecting technical constraints.
- Mentor junior designers as we scale our design team in Bengaluru.
- Work closely with the dev team to ensure that the final implementation matches the design intent and performance requirements.
You'll Excel in This Role If You Have:
- Experience: 5+ years as a Product Designer, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to solve complex, logic-driven UX challenges (not just pretty screens).
- Web3 Fluency: A deep understanding of Web3 mental models—wallets, private keys, gas, and decentralized identity.
- Versatility: Experience designing for mobile (B2C social apps) and web (B2B/Gov dashboards).
- Technical Intuition: You understand the constraints of blockchain and decentralized protocols and can design around them.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain the why behind your designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
