Product Designer

This platform aspires to inspire a new generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by making top-tier educational resources accessible to every learner.

We are seeking a talented Product Designer with world-class visual design skills to shape and deliver the core user experience for our AI tutor. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our founders, engineers, and content experts, directly influencing how students engage, learn, and grow with Fermi's product. This position is centered on in-product designnot marketing or brand designensuring cohesive and compelling interfaces, interactions, and systems across our platform.

• Design intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for web and mobile platforms
• Develop scalable design systems to enable rapid iteration and a unified student experience
• Collaborate with engineers to prototype and refine interactions using tools like Lovable and Cursor
• Craft expressive visual components that elevate motivation, clarity, and learning outcomes
• Design features for students, teachers, and parents, creating an inclusive product ecosystem
• Translate complex educational ideas into approachable, effective visual frameworks
• Shape the evolving product vision through a deep understanding of student users
• Help define Fermi's emerging visual language and brand within the product

• 5 to 10 years of product design experience, ideally with a consumer product company
• A compelling portfolio that demonstrates exceptional UI/UX problem-solving and high-quality visual design
• Experience developing and managing design systems at scale
• Comfort in early-stage environments: fast-paced, ambiguous, and hands-on
• Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design-to-code tools (e.g., Cursor)
• Strong communication skills, able to articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams
• Bonus: Experience designing for students, educational products, or AI-driven interfaces
