Responsibilities
User Experience (UX) Design:
- Ability to conduct and understand user research to understand player needs, behaviors, and preferences.
- Create user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for games, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable player journey.
- Pitch and present concepts, proposals, and updates to stakeholders and translate complex concepts and interactions into simple, elegant, and coherent design.
Visual Design and System:
- Develop visually stunning and cohesive design elements while working closely with other designers and brand teams.
- Maintain consistency in design across different platforms and devices.
- Proficiency in building Design Systems and Prototyping frameworks.
Prototyping and Iteration:
- Create interactive prototypes to test and iterate on design concepts.
- Gather feedback from play-testing and user testing sessions to refine and improve designs.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the implementation aligns with the intended design.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and brand teams.
- Communicate design ideas and concepts effectively, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Participate in design critiques and contribute to the overall design vision of the gaming products.
Research and Stay Updated:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the gaming space.
- Apply insights from gaming and design research to enhance the overall user experience.
Accessibility and Inclusivity:
- Ensure that designs are accessible and inclusive to a diverse player base.
- Advocate for inclusive design practices and consider diverse needs in the design process.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience on a product design team.
- Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.
- An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious.
- Excellent attention to detail with respect to design deliveries as well as ensuring experience reaching the users what was designed for them.
- A strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to conduct, interpret, and present qualitative and quantitative feedback and research.
- Exceptional communication skills for conveying design concepts and roadmaps.
- Strong problem-solving and delegation skills.
- Critically analyze the success of your solutions and iterate.
- Understanding of business objectives and execution of said objectives.
- A well-rounded portfolio showcasing strong problem solving with end outcomes.
- Staying updated with trends around and helping teams having knowledge of the same.
