Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Content Writer to develop clear, accurate, and child-friendly written content for STEM, Art n Craft and Little Sparks educational products. This role focuses exclusively on product-related documentation and content, including textual content on product graphics, instruction manuals, activity guides, packaging content, and in-box materials.

This is a non-marketing role and does not involve social media, SEO, or promotional writing.

Key Responsibilities

Create packaging box content, including:

oProduct descriptions (functional, not promotional) like Age grading, Product overview, Learning outcomes, Safety warnings and compliance text.

Create educational content for Product and Instruction Manual, including

oTechnical or scientific concepts adapted into simple language for children, parents, and verified by educators.

oWrite activity instructions and learning prompts aligned with intended age groups and skill levels.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Educators during product development.

Ensure content aligns with child safety standards, regulatory requirements, and brand tone.

Review and revise content based on product testing, feedback, and manufacturing changes.

Maintain consistency across manuals, packaging, and in-box materials.

Proofread and quality-check content before print or production release.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Communications, Science, or a related field.

2+ years of experience writing product documentation or instructional content.

Strong ability to simplify complex concepts without losing accuracy, optimised for kids of ages 3 to 12.

Excellent attention to detail and logical structuring skills.

Experience writing for children's products or educational materials is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

Background in STEM education, instructional design, or curriculum writing.

Experience with toy industry, educational kits, DIY kits, or learning products.

Familiarity with safety labeling and age-appropriate language.

Ability to work with wireframes, product prototypes, and design layouts.
