About the Company
Our client is a leading biotech manufacturing company specializing in high-quality biotech equipment. They are looking for a Product & Bioprocess Specialist who will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting bioprocess equipment and systems to ensure efficient, scalable, and compliant manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Design & Development:
- Create PFDs, P&IDs, and detailed process descriptions for equipment such as stainless steel bioreactors, fermenters, and ultrafiltration systems.
- Equipment Selection & Optimization:
- Assist in selecting and integrating appropriate components that meet process and industry standards.
- Process Validation & Testing:
- Conduct and support FAT, Pre-FAT, SAT, and simulation trials to validate and optimize equipment performance and compliance.
- Automation & Control Philosophy:
- Develop automation sequences including CIP, SIP, and PHT to ensure sterility and operational efficiency.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Valve Matrix Control Philosophies, Flow Paths, and related documentation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and QC teams to ensure alignment of process requirements with equipment fabrication.
- Customer Support & Training:
- Participate in on-site installations, troubleshooting, equipment qualification, and user training.
- Knowledge Transfer:
- Develop SOPs, training content, and technical papers to educate internal teams and clients.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and implement engineering improvements to enhance process efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in bioprocess engineering within a biotech or equipment manufacturing environment.
- Key Skills:
- Sound knowledge of fermentation and ultrafiltration systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Aspen Plus, or similar process design tools.
- Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and ISO compliance standards.
- Strong in FAT, Pre-FAT, and SAT execution and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
