Role Description

We are looking for a Product Analyst to join our team and play a key role in how we use technology to serve our clients better. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role at the intersection of data, automation, and product thinking. You will work closely with our investment and operations teams to understand what our clients need, then design and build scalable technical solutions that deliver it.

The role spans the full build lifecycle from understanding requirements and architecting solutions, through to developing APIs, automating data workflows, and delivering polished, reliable outputs. You will use AI tools throughout to move faster and smarter.

The ideal candidate is technically versatile, commercially minded, and genuinely curious about real estate finance and investment management. You must understand how software solutions are architected, how APIs work, and how to think about building things that clients will rely on. This is not a pure analyst role we want someone who can build.

Key Responsibilites

Solution Design & Development

Work with investment and operations stakeholders to understand client needs and translate them into well-architected technical solutions

Own the design and build of scalable tools and workflows that enhance how we deliver value to clients

Think end-to-end: how data flows in, how it is processed, and how outputs reach the people who need them

Contribute to infrastructure and deployment decisions, with an understanding of trade-offs between hosting options, scalability, and cost

Document solutions clearly so they can be maintained, extended, and handed over where needed

API & Backend Development

Build and integrate APIs to connect internal workflows with external data sources, market feeds, and financial platforms

Design and implement RESTful API endpoints that allow systems and users to interact with core analytical logic

Manage server-side logic, data validation, and error handling to ensure solutions are robust and reliable

Implement appropriate authentication and access controls for multi-user, client-facing environments

Data & Automation

Build automated pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure data from multiple sources for use in analysis and reporting

Develop the analytical logic underpinning client-facing outputs including financial modelling, risk metrics, and scenario analysis

Create dashboards and reporting outputs that surface key metrics in a clear, professional format

Automate repetitive workflows to ensure our services scale without proportional increases in manual effort

AI Tool Integration

Leverage AI-powered tools (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) throughout your work to accelerate development speed and quality

Identify where AI can be embedded into workflows and outputs to enhance accuracy, speed, and insight quality

Stay current on AI tool developments and proactively recommend capabilities that could benefit the team or clients

Finance & Investment Domain

Develop a solid working knowledge of commercial real estate and investment management how deals are structured, how risk is assessed, and what metrics matter to our clients

Work alongside investment professionals to ensure technical outputs reflect real-world decision-making needs

Support the preparation of client-facing materials and deliverables that demonstrate analytical rigour and clarity

What we are looking for

Essential Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in a technical analyst, software development, or data engineering role

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; comfort working across the full data lifecycle from ingestion to output

Familiarity with server-side concepts: hosting environments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and basic DevOps principles

Experience building complete end-to-end solutions, not just isolated scripts or reports you think in systems

Hands-on, daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) as part of your normal workflow

Experience with at least one BI or reporting platform (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)

Strong communication skills comfortable discussing both technical architecture and business requirements

Product & Build Mindset (Important)

You think about what you build from the perspective of the end user not just whether it works, but whether it is reliable, intuitive, and worth using

Familiarity with product development practices: user requirements, iterative builds, version control (Git), testing, and deployment

Comfort working in an early-stage, evolving environment where ownership is high and requirements develop over time

Some exposure to client-facing tools or solutions built for external users is a plus

Finance & Investment Interest

Genuine interest in investment management, commercial real estate, or financial services as a career direction

Some exposure to financial concepts such as asset valuation, deal analysis, fund structures, or portfolio returns through work, coursework, or self-study

Prior experience with financial modelling or investment data is a strong advantage

Eagerness to develop deep domain knowledge in real estate and investment management on the job

Nice to Have

Experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django for building backend services

Knowledge of database design and management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or cloud-native equivalents)

Familiarity with containerisation and deployment tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines)

Prior work in fintech, proptech, real estate, or professional services

Exposure to CRE-specific platforms or datasets (CoStar, ARGUS, RealPage, or similar)
