Job Description - Regional Procurement & Supply Chain Manager
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Management
Reports To: Director / COO
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 8-15 years of experience in procurement and vendor development - preferably in interior fit-out, furniture, construction, or related industries.
Role Overview:
The Regional Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will oversee procurement, vendor management, and supply chain operations across PAN India. This role ensures seamless coordination between design, project, finance, and site teams. It focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor empanelment, rate contract management, supply chain planning, and cost optimization across multiple categories including interiors, MEP, acoustics, lighting, furniture, and integrated systems. The role is critical to achieving operational excellence and ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Management
Lead procurement across categories such as:
C&I subcontracting, modular/system furniture, carpets, chairs, loose furniture
Blinds, ceilings, glazed partitions, sanitaryware
Green walls, graphics & signage
MEP, acoustics, lighting
BIM, IoT, and consultant services
Manage end-to-end procurement cycles:
Tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations
Comparative statements (CS) & recommendations
Purchase Orders (POs), PRs, BOQs, and approval workflows
Float online tenders via PROCOL and conduct pre-tender / pre-bid meetings.
Conduct open-book and lump-sum negotiations to achieve optimal pricing and quality.
Develop, review, and maintain long-term rate contracts with suppliers and consultants across multiple verticals.
2. Vendor Management
Maintain, assess, and enhance the vendor base to ensure quality, competitiveness, and reliability.
Drive continuous vendor empanelment, qualification, and re-evaluation cycles.
Implement supplier management policies and standardized procurement procedures.
Conduct capacity mapping of vendors to support business continuity and evolving project requirements.
Organize stakeholder forums to leverage innovation and improve supplier performance.
3. Project Coordination & Supply Chain Operations
Perform Production Requirement Planning (PRP) to align procurement with project schedules.
Coordinate with project operations teams and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
Optimize inventory holdings to reduce lead time and project delays.
Customize BOMs for closure of additional items during project execution.
Generate and maintain project trackers, MIS dashboards, material delivery reports, and vendor payment backlogs.
Work closely with finance for billing, reconciliation, and timely vendor payments.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Strong vendor management and timely completion of material deliveries.
Cost optimization through strategic sourcing and long-term rate contracts.
Improved process standardization and reduction of operational bottlenecks.
Successful integration of procurement automation and ERP/eProcurement systems.
Enhanced supplier relationships leading to innovation and continuous improvement.
On-time closure of procurement, documentation, and billing across all project locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
8-15 years of experience in procurement and vendor developmentpreferably in interior fit-out, furniture, construction, or related industries.
Strong understanding of SAP, ERP platforms, eProcurement systems (PROCOL), and digital procurement workflows.
Proven experience in vendor negotiations, rate finalization, contracting, and managing multi-category sourcing.
Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to manage large volumes of procurement operations across multiple regions.
